How Edurova works: trial classes, fees, refunds and tutor checks
Edurova is a 1-to-1 online tutoring marketplace for Class 11, Class 12, JEE and NEET students in India. You choose a tutor for Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology or Botany, book a 45-minute trial class for ₹499, and take the class live on Google Meet. This page explains every step, every fee and the refund rules.

What Edurova is
Edurova connects one student with one tutor. It is not a recorded course and not a group batch: every class is a live video session between a single student and a single tutor, held on Google Meet.
The platform currently lists tutors for five subjects (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany) and four levels (Class 11, Class 12, JEE and NEET). Tutors are based in India and teach in English, Hinglish or Hindi.
How to book a trial class
- Create a free student account. Register as a student and confirm your email address.
- Choose a subject and a tutor. Use Find a Tutor or browse all tutors, then open a profile to read the tutor's qualification, years of experience, languages, hourly rate and student reviews.
- Pick a date and time. Choose a date in the next 21 days and one of the tutor's open 45-minute slots. A slot must start at least 2 hours from the time you book.
- Pay the ₹499 trial fee. Payment is made online at the time of booking and sends your request to the tutor.
- Join on Google Meet. The tutor confirms within 3 days and sends a Google Meet link, which appears on your student dashboard and in your email.
Fees
| Item | Cost | Refundable? |
|---|---|---|
| Student account | Free | Not applicable |

Hourly rates are shown in rupees (₹) to visitors in India and in US dollars ($) to visitors in other countries.
Refund rules for the trial class
In short: the ₹499 trial fee is refunded in full if you ask within 48 hours after the scheduled class time, or if the tutor does not confirm or does not send the class link in time.
- You were not happy with the class. Ask for a refund from your student dashboard within 48 hours after the scheduled date and time of the class.
- There was a technical or Google Meet problem. The same 48-hour refund window applies.
- The tutor did not confirm. A tutor has 3 days to confirm or decline a paid request. If they do not act, the request is cancelled and the fee is refunded in full.
- The tutor confirmed but did not send a class link. A tutor has 3 days after confirming to send the Google Meet link. If they miss this, the booking is cancelled and the fee is refunded in full.
- After 48 hours. Once 48 hours have passed after the class time, the trial fee is no longer refundable.
- How the money comes back. Refunds are sent through Razorpay to the payment method you used and usually reflect within a few business days.
How tutors are checked
A tutor's profile is shown to students only after these checks:
- Email verification. A tutor must confirm their email address before their application can be approved.
- Profile approval. The Edurova team reviews each profile and approves it before it appears in the tutor list.
- Photo review. A photo uploaded by a tutor is reviewed by Edurova before students can see it.
- Verified badge. A green “Verified” badge on a profile means Edurova has checked that tutor's degree documents.
- Student reviews. After a completed trial class the student can leave a star rating and a written review, which is shown on the tutor's profile.
